St. Michael’s Parish Religious Education Program

2026–2027 Welcome & Registration Information

Introductory Letter

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to another year of Religious Education at St. Michael’s Parish! My name is Daria Kraszewska, and I am honored to serve as the new Director of Religious Education.

St. Michael’s has always held a special place in my heart. I was blessed to be a student in this Religious Education Program, and for over ten years I have had the privilege of serving as a CCD catechist, teaching students in grades 1 through 4. In my professional career, I am also a high school English teacher, and I am passionate about helping students learn, grow, and succeed.

I am excited to begin this new role and look forward to working alongside our families, catechists, clergy, and volunteers as we continue the Catholic mission of nurturing our children’s faith and helping them develop a lasting relationship with Christ. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your child’s faith journey. I look forward to a wonderful year together!

May God bless you and your family, and I look forward to seeing you this fall.

In Christ,

Daria Kraszewska Director of Religious Education St. Michael’s Parish

Tuition & Sacramental Fees

The annual Religious Education tuition is $75.00 per child. This fee helps cover the cost of textbooks, classroom supplies, instructional materials, and other program expenses throughout the year.

Students enrolled in the Third Grade First Holy Communion program will also be responsible for an additional $30.00 sacramental fee, which helps offset the costs associated with sacramental preparation and the celebration of First Holy Communion.

We are grateful for your continued support of our parish’s Religious Education Program and appreciate your generosity in helping us provide a meaningful faith formation experience for our students.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

The process for becoming a Catholic is called The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) which involves a series of sessions. Your first step is to call St. Michael’s Church and tell them you would like to know more about becoming Catholic. This process can take several months depending on your knowledge of the faith and your baptismal status.

There will be a series of classes, either for an individual or in a group depending on the number of people interested.  These classes will introduce, those interested, to important fundamentals of the Catholic Church including:
– The Catholic Faith
     – What we believe
     – Christ: Priest, Prophet and King – How that relates to our role as priest, prophet and king
– Conversion
– Sacraments – with emphasis on-
     – Eucharist
     – Reconciliation
– Catechism of the Catholic Church for Adults
– Seven Deadly Sins, Seven Lively Virtues
– The New Evangelization

The classes are meant to be interactive and engaging with time for discussion.  Classes will meet a minimum of two evenings per month with hope of entering into full communion with the Church at the Easter Vigil.  All classes will be conducted by the parish staff, including Priests, Deacon and laity.

Please contact the parish office for more information and for start dates.
